Tonight I am making my mom's version of pot roast.
You will need:
a roast (I use a chuck or pot roast and the size depends on how many your feeding)
1 to 2 yellow onions
1 bag of baby carrots
1 bad of petit yukon or red potatoes
2 cans beef consomme
2 to 3 cans beef broth
Slice up your onions and put them at the bottom of your crockpot. Then cut your potatoes in half and add those. Then add you carrots. On top of your veggies add your roast. Finally, add your cans of consomme and broth, it should pretty much come up to the top of your crock pot with out it spilling over. Then put it on low for 8 to 10 hrs. When you come home, check your crock pot, if the meat pulls apart easily and your veggies are tender when pierced with a knife, you are ready to eat.
I hope to put up pictures when it's done. Good luck!
